Description

1925-S 5C MS64 PCGS. The 1925-S is another of the well-known strike rarities from the 1920s, apparently created by broad set distances between the dies. Softness is a given, and any strength of strike is relative to what is usually encountered. This piece shows an above-average strike, but of course it cannot be compared to a 1925-P. The mint luster is softly frosted and just the slightest layer of rose and lilac patina is seen over each side.(Registry values: N2998)
