Description

1879 Dime, PR67 Cameo
Conditionally Rare

1879 10C PR67 Cameo PCGS. F-101, R.5. The small mintage of 14,000 circulation strikes and their rarity in higher grades puts pressure on the proofs from date collectors. The current Superb Gem Star Cameo proof is a significant condition rarity in this level of preservation. Reddish-purple toning surround the obverse rim of this stunning PR67 Cameo dime, with barely a hint of color evident on the reverse. The design elements are sharply impressed and display pronounced contrast with the mirrored fields, especially on the reverse. Both sides are impeccably preserved. Population: 4 in 67 Cameo, 0 finer (11/16).
