Description

1829 O-105 Small Letters Half Dollar, MS65
Exceptional Appeal

1829 50C Small Letters, O-105, R.1, MS65 PCGS. Translucent shades of gold, blue, and rose-red cover both sides of this sharply struck, early die state Bust half. Cartwheel silver luster beams strongly beneath the attractive, light toning. O-105 is an available variety for the issue, yet few Uncirculated examples exceed the eye appeal of this minimally marked coin. A few light lines beneath the toning do not detract from the frosty Mint-fresh surfaces. Gem-quality examples of the 1829 half dollar in general are scarce. Population (all Normal Date varieties included): 25 in 65 (4 in 65+), 4 finer (10/16).
