Description

1950 Half Dollar, PR66+ Cameo
Brilliant With Strong Contrast

1950 50C PR66+ Cameo PCGS. First-year Franklin half dollar proofs are scarce with Cameo contrast in Gem condition, and this example is considerably finer than that in Premium Gem with the PCGS Plus designation. The mirrored fields contrast nicely with frosted devices, where moderate contrast on the obverse joins and heavy cameo effect on the reverse. Glassy-smooth, reflective mirrors surround sharply defined raised devices on both sides. Population: 5 in 66+ Cameo, 20 finer (10/16).(Registry values: N1793)
