1836 $2 1/2 Script 8 MS61 PCGS. Breen-6143, Variety 11, R.2. Head of 1835. The branch has no berry and star 6 is very close to Liberty's curl on this collectible Classic Head quarter eagle variety. Design definition is strong with full star centers and good detail on the eagle's talons and olive leaves. Strike softness occurs primarily on Liberty's hair and the eagle's shield and upper wing feathers. Reddish-gold accents complement luminous, yellow-gold surfaces.(Registry values: P1)
