1793 Chain Cent, Fair 2
AMERI., Sheldon-1
1793 1C Chain, AMERI., S-1, B-1, R.4, Fair 2 PCGS. The chain
is clear, UNITED is readable, and much of AMERI is evident. Several
letters in the denomination are apparent, including the diagnostic
position of the E in ONE relative to the chain. The obverse
displays greater wear, but Liberty's profile and bust tip emerge
beneath a strong light. The lower obverse has a few faint thin
marks, but the tan and golden-brown surfaces are otherwise
problem-free. Our EAC grade Poor 1.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 223G, Variety PCGS# 35432, Base PCGS# 1340, GSID# 76717)
