Frosty and Delicately Toned
1898-S 25C MS65 PCGS. The 1898-S Barber quarter claims a
nominal mintage of slightly more than 1 million pieces but few
examples were saved by contemporary collectors. In fact, many coins
were shipped overseas, to the Philippines and other destinations
after the Spanish-American War. This delightful Gem displays
sharply detailed design elements and vibrant mint luster under
shades of lavender-gray and golden-brown toning. Population: 8 in
