Description

1936-D Quarter, Rim-Toned MS67
Conditionally Elusive

1936-D 25C MS67 PCGS. The 1936-D issue in the Washington quarter series, despite a healthy mintage exceeding 5.3 million coins, seems mostly to have slipped into circulation for the most part, and Superb Gem survivors are elusive, as they are for the 1934-D and 1935-D as well. This piece shows wine and cinnamon rim toning contrasting against silver, satiny untoned areas elsewhere. The profile of Washington is free from mentionable perturbances, as is the eagle on the reverse. Population: 21 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0 finer (1/17).(Registry values: N1793)
