Betts-95. 1702 Treasure Captured at Vigo Bay XF40 NGC. Brass. AU58 PCGS. A large and crude draped bust of Queen Anne facing right appears on the unsigned obverse. The reverse presents an aerial view of Vigo harbor. This medal is a Nuremberg counter copied from jetons by Lazarus Gottlieb Laufer. Lovely tan surfaces exhibit lines of steel toning on each side of this attractive near-Mint example. 25.4 mm, 4.4 grams. (Est. $600-$1,000).Auction Info
