Description

1925-D Buffalo Nickel, MS65
Conditionally Elusive Denver Product

1925-D 5C MS65 PCGS. David Hall notes that the 1925-D is the second-rarest Buffalo nickel produced at the Denver Mint during the 1920s in Gem condition after the 1927-D. Strike can be problematic, and the bison's head shows the usual softness. Brilliant with pastel accents of blue, green, and rose. Two grade-limiting ticks appear on the Indian's head. Struck from rotated dies. Only 14 finer submissions are listed at PCGS (3/17).(Registry values: N2998)
