1939-S 25C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS67+ PCGS. CAC.
30th Anniversary Green Label Holder. FS-101 is a minor doubled die
obverse variety, showing a spread most plainly on the date but also
on IN GOD WE TRUST. This remarkable MS67+ example is tied for the
finest of the variety and the date both, and the CAC green label
heightens its appeal to Registry collectors. The strike is sharp,
and the satiny surfaces show no distracting abrasions. Ice-blue
interiors cede to gold and crimson border toning. Population (all
varieties included): 69 in 67 (6 in 67+), 0 finer. CAC: 33 in 67, 0
finer (2/17).Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 145020, Base PCGS# 5810, Greysheet# 374318)
