1807 50 Over 20 Capped Bust Half Dollar, VF20
O-111a, Famous Bearded Goddess Die Crack
1807 50C Capped Bust, Large Stars, 50 Over 20, O-111a, R.5, VF20
PCGS. PCGS has certified the coin solely as the Large Stars,
50/20 variety, which is technically correct, but it ignores the
all-important slender die break from Liberty's chin to the chest.
All legends are clear on this circulated example. A glossy, deep
olive-gold representative of the famous early Capped Bust variety,
listed in the Guide Book at a whopping premium.Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2008), lot 8590; ANA Signature (Heritage, 8/2010), lot 4832.
