1875 50C PR66 PCGS. In 1875, the Mint removed the arrows beside the date that had been implemented for two years in 1873 and 1874. A total of 700 proof half dollars were struck. This outstanding specimen displays gorgeous multicolor iridescence throughout the obverse in shades of blue, green, rose, and peach-orange. Similar hues encompass the reverse borders, ceding to brilliant centers. Preservation and eye appeal place this Premium Gem proof among a small group of top-notch pieces.
