Richly Patinated

1892-S 10C MS65 PCGS. The MS65 grade level is where the first-year 1892-S Barber dime graduates from scarce to rare. Probably 25 to 50 S-mint Gems survives, compared to the hundreds of Philadelphia representatives available in this state of preservation. The surfaces are richly patinated in blue, rose, and violet tones. Fully struck, including the right ear of corn and the wheat stalks. Diagonal roller marks are present on the cheek. Population: 15 in 65, 4 finer (3/17).(Registry values: N1793)
