1869 Quarter, MS64 Prooflike
The Only NGC-Certified Prooflike
1869 25C MS64 NGC Prooflike. The 1869 quarter dollar, with a
small business strike production of only 16,000 pieces, is scarce
in all grades. The near-Gem in the present lot is the sole 1869
circulation strike given Prooflike status by NGC (3/17). Moreover,
both sides display considerable field-motif contrast. A few trivial
marks, and a couple of grease spots on the lower-left obverse
