Description
1802 $1 Narrow Date, B-6, BB-241, R.1, VF25 PCGS. Bowers Die State III, as usual. Both sides take on a medallic, glossy appearance beneath a thorough coating of rich olive-gold and lilac-gray toning which deepens considerably toward the borders. The reverse stars are well struck, and the devices retain strong detail for the grade. A small rim bump near stars 5 and 6 is the only distinguishable flaw.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 1/2017), lot 3954, which realized $2,350.
