Description

1915 Indian Ten, Lovely MS67
A Condition Census Rarity

1915 $10 MS67 PCGS. The 1915 was the last Indian eagle produced at the Philadelphia Mint until 1926. The issue is more available than many entries in the series, ideal for type purposes, and it is notable for good production values that are amply on display here: The fabulous original color showcases orange-gold hues with pronounced lilac accents interspersed over each side. Both sides display thick, frosted mint luster, and metal flowlines coupled with a mattelike finish in the fields give the coin luminous appeal. The strike is uniformly sharp, and only under a loupe do a few tiny, unimportant marks appear in the centers. This remarkable coin is one of just six 1915 eagles in this finest-achieved numeric grade, and it resides with an MS67+ coin at the top of the PCGS Population Report (11/17). No PCGS-graded Superb Gem has appeared at auction in nearly 14 years.(Registry values: N7079)
