Description
1887 10C F-108, R.2, MS67 NGC. The date is high with a slight downward slope. This colorfully toned Superb Gem example displays strong cartwheel luster and rainbow iridescence throughout both sides. The strike is surprisingly weak at the peripheries, but sharp at the centers -- diagnostic of the F-108 die marriage. Weakness at Liberty's head and at the obverse legend (where the first A in AMERICA is filled) carries over to the top of the wreath at its outer elements.
