1888 $3 MS62 NGC. The Mint struck 5,000 three dollar gold pieces in 1888 as the series neared its close. The coins were unseen in circulation and mostly acquired as gifts. The central reverse legends are boldly defined, as is the left wreath leaf. Moderately reflective with shimmering luster and yellow-gold color.
