1918-D Nickel, MS65
Impressively Sharp and Luminous
1918-D 5C MS65 NGC. The overdate of this year and mint is a
sought-after rarity, but the normal date variety, offered here, is
conditionally scarce at the Gem level and rare finer. Remarkably
luminous luster and sharp details characterize each side amid warm
champagne toning that features hints of blue and lavender. There
are no bothersome abrasions. The die state shows faint flowlines in
the fields but is earlier than usually seen. Census: 27 in 65 (1 in
