Description

1916-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar, MS66
Lustrous First-Year Coin

1916-D 50C MS66 PCGS Secure. CAC. Ex: Duckor. In terms of conditional rarity, the 1916 and 1916-D are about equal. Although a few more examples of the 1916-D are certified in MS65 than the 1916, this Denver issue edges out its Philadelphia counterpart in MS66. Brilliant centers merge with delicate antique-gold patina around the periphery. The skirt lines and middle eagle feathers are incomplete, as usual, but overall detail is good. The two hallmarks of this gorgeous Premium Gem are its scintillating luster and impressive preservation. Population: 71 in 66 (1 in 66+), 3 finer. CAC: 34% of submissions for this issue/grade passed. 21 in 66, 1 finer (11/17).
