Description

1938-D Half Dollar, MS67
Near-Pristine Silver Surfaces

1938-D 50C MS67 PCGS. CAC. Ex: Duckor. This popular issue claims the third-lowest mintage in the entire series. Contemporary collectors realized its relative scarcity early on and saved examples in large quantities. Still, MS66 is the highest grade for which the 1938-D is readily available. Superb Gems prove challenging. Liberty's head and branch hand, and the eagle's leg feathers are well-detailed. Brilliant silver surfaces are nearly mark-free. Population: 46 in 67 (3 in 67+), 0 finer. CAC: 38% of submissions for this issue/grade passed. 21 in 67, 0 finer (11/17).
