Description

1939-S Half Dollar, MS67
Well-Struck San Francisco Coin

1939-S 50C MS67 PCGS. CAC. Ex: Duckor. San Francisco Mint employees clearly took better care in the production of half dollars in 1939. Examples of the 1939-S can be found well-struck, unlike most other contemporary issues from that facility. This is one such coin. Aside from a few ticks clustered around the branch hand, this marvelous Superb Gem appears practically unabraded. Blushes of pale tan-gold and powder-blue provide a hint of color. PCGS has graded a single finer coin. CAC: 57% of submissions for this issue/grade passed. 145 in 67, 0 finer (11/17).
