Description

1943-S Half Dollar, Frosty MS67
Strong Strike, None Graded Higher

1943-S 50C MS67 PCGS. CAC. FS-101. Ex: Duckor. Large S mintmark. Die-doubled obverse. The 1943-S is a noted strike rarity, if not to the same extent as its more famous S-mint predecessors. Still, examples are exceedingly rare in Superb Gem condition with strong detail. Splashes of blue and golden-russet color complement bright, thickly frosted surfaces that are devoid of major marks. Liberty's head is crisp, and the branch hand exhibits partial thumb separation. The upper skirt lines are similarly bold. Population: 44 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0 finer. CAC: 44% of submissions for this issue/grade passed. 25 in 67, 0 finer (11/17).
