Description

1793 C-2, B-2 Half Cent, AU50

1793 1/2 C C-2, B-2, R.3, AU50 PCGS. This is the second scarcest variety of the year and is most easily attributed by the smoothly curved bust line and the fraction crowded between the ribbons. The 1793 half cent is an essential one-year type coin, and a classic design. Examples are very elusive in high grades. Housed in a green-label PCGS holder, this is a well detailed coin that is glossy with much luster remaining beneath the deep brown patina on the glossy obverse. Only small and relatively inoffensive handling marks are scattered over each side of this lovely piece, including a thin scratch over ICA. Our EAC grade XF40.
