1940-D 25C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS66 PCGS. Strong die doubling is visible on IN GOD WE TRUST. PCGS has only attributed five examples of this elusive variety, with this piece and one other MS66 tied for the finest (1/18). The interiors are satiny and brilliant with no distracting abrasions. Thin ribbons of rainbow toning are visible along the lower obverse and upper reverse rims.From The jwb1040 Collection.
