Description:
The Hugon Superb Gem 1908-D Barber Dime
1908-D 10C MS67 PCGS. From out sale of the John Hugon Collection. Here is an exceptional coin that retains glowing luster, a full and complete strike, and gorgeous pastel green and gold toning on both sides. The surfaces are pristine, with a couple of tiny ticks on Liberty's neck all that separate this coin from virtual perfection. Several different doubled and tripled date varieties are known, however, this example does not show any significant evidence of doubling. If it is doubled at all, it is not strong enough to warrant a separate variety designation. Population: 7 in 67, 0 finer (11/05).
Ex: John C. Hugon Collection (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 4051.

Learn About Consigning With Us
What I most appreciated was how thorough you were when we initially met, how you were conservative in your estimates, not trying to get me to consign by giving false expectations, and then for delivering above and beyond on your commitment to me of a wonderful marketing campaign and a first rate catalog and photos, all of which resulted in a final total price realized that was nicely higher than what you had told me to expect.
