The Hugon Superb Gem 1908-D Barber Dime1908-D 10C MS67 PCGS. From out sale of the John Hugon Collection. Here is an exceptional coin that retains glowing luster, a full and complete strike, and gorgeous pastel green and gold toning on both sides. The surfaces are pristine, with a couple of tiny ticks on Liberty's neck all that separate this coin from virtual perfection. Several different doubled and tripled date varieties are known, however, this example does not show any significant evidence of doubling. If it is doubled at all, it is not strong enough to warrant a separate variety designation. Population: 7 in 67, 0 finer (11/05).
Ex: John C. Hugon Collection (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 4051.
