1866 Bronze Pattern Nickel, Judd-5091866 Five-Cents, Judd-509, Pollock-592, R.6, PR 64 Red and Brown PCGS. The obverse is the shield design used to coin the regular-issue 1866 nickels, the reverse is the regular issue type without rays as was adopted in 1867. Struck in bronze with a plain edge. Very sharp and deeply toned in olive-green and crimson shades. A small contact mark is noted in the right reverse field. (PCGS# 60509)
