Description:
PCGS 1879 Fifty-Cents, Judd-1600, R.7, PR 63 Brown. The Morgan design as adopted for the head of the dollar of 1878, but adapted to the smaller format of the half dollar. The reverse features an erect eagle with raised wings. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Deeply reflective fields, the coin is obviously original and shows a multicolored speckled patination with deep charcoal accents around the peripheries. (PCGS# 61600)
