1875 20C J-1408, BN
Copper Striking of the Judd-1715 Five-Cent Pattern For 18831883 Five-Cents, Judd-1715, Pollock-1920, R.7, PR 65 Red and Brown, PCGS. Again, very similar to the adopted design on both obverse and reverse except for the smaller stars and the word LIBERTY at the top margin which has been removed from the coronet. Struck in copper with a plain edge. The cherry-red color of the coin has mellowed evenly across both sides with brighter blue highlights on the reverse devices. The only notable defect we see that could be used for pedigree identification is a tiny spot of carbon along the bottom of the truncation of the bust of Liberty. (PCGS# 61715)
