Description

1913-D Type Two Nickel, MS67
Significant Condition Rarity

1913-D 5C Type Two MS67 PCGS. CAC. While the Type One Buffalo nickels received the lion's share of "first-year-of-issue" savings, their Type Two counterparts received comparative neglect, particularly in the areas served by the branch mints at Denver and San Francisco. This is one of the best-preserved 1913-D Type Two Buffalo nickels in existence, satiny with rugged and beautiful obverse texture. Softly glowing surfaces are primarily pearl-gray with scattered hints of blue and canary-yellow for overtones. The reverse is slightly rotated counterclockwise from coin turn. Population: 11 in 67, 0 finer (11/13).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 22R2, PCGS# 3922)
