Two Feathers 1918-S Nickel
Select Mint State
1918-S 5C Two Feathers MS63 PCGS. CAC. FS-401. Cherrypickers' states "the obverse die was heavily polished, probably to remove clash marks. The result was a die with the innermost feather missing." Unpriced in Cherrypickers' in grades above VF. PCGS has certified 11 examples of FS-401, but the present lot is the sole piece graded above AU53 (6/12). Satiny and stone-gray with one slender vertical mark on the bison's front leg.
