Description:
1928-S Nickel, Well-Struck MS65
Subtle Ice-Blue Toning
1928-S 5C MS65 NGC. This Gem 1928-S Buffalo is far better-struck than the average survivor, with a full horn on the bison and a split tail, despite some minor softness on the shoulder and on the obverse above the braid. Glints of rose and ice-blue appear under a lamp, along with bright mint luster and few mentionable marks of any size. An attractive example of this elusive S-mint issue from the 1920s. NGC has graded only nine submissions finer (5/13).(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 22SD, PCGS# 3965)
