Description:
1835 JR-1 Dime, MS64
Ideal Type Coin
1835 10C MS64 PCGS. JR-1, R.1. Only two of the nine 1835 dime varieties are truly common and rated R.1. They are JR-1 with a Fancy 8 date style, and JR-5 with a Block 8. Those two varieties are ideal for date or type collectors, while still a necessary part of a specialized variety collection. The additional demand counteracts the plentiful supply of these coins. This Choice Mint State specimen is a lovely example of the JR-1 with the Fancy 8 featuring frosty luster, excellent design definition, and delicate gold toning on the reverse. Population: 71 in 64 (1 in 64+), 20 finer (8/13) for all 1835 varieties.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 237F, PCGS# 4527)
