1834 $5 Plain 4 -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details. Unc. Breen-6501, McCloskey 3-B, R.1. An available First Head variety interesting for its vertical die break through Liberty's eye. The honey-gold fields are mildly reflective and bright from a moderate cleaning. There are no noticeable marks.
Ex: S.S. Forrest, Jr. Collection (Stack's, 9/1972), lot 217, which realized $450.
