Mint State 1834 Classic Two and a Half

1834 $2 1/2 MS61 NGC. Large Head, Breen-6140, Variety-2, R.3. The "Wide AM" variety. Stars 2, 3, 10, and 11 are repunched. A sharply struck Mint State example of this popular and relatively short-lived gold type. Light apricot-gold overall with moderately deeper toning near the rims. Careful examination reveals a few faint field marks.(Registry values: P1) (NGC ID# 25FS, PCGS# 7692)
