Description:
1723 FARTH Hibernia Farthing, DEI GRATIA MS63 Brown PCGS. Breen-170. Cataloged by Breen as a "Second Prototype Farthing...Very rare," this coin is incredibly well struck with sharp definition throughout. The base color on both sides is orange-brown in shade, some deeper patination has assumed a mottled distribution over the left obverse. There are no abrasions of consequence on either side. Listed on page 23 of the 2001 Guide Book.
