Choice AU Continental Dollar1776 $1 Continental Dollar AU55 PCGS. CURRENCY. Pewter. Breen-1092; Crosby Pl. VIII, 16; Newman 2-C. Actually struck in tin, according to Breen. The surfaces are dull gray, but this should be expected as Breen states, "Unc specimens are mostly dull." Sharply struck and problem-free, the surfaces have a silvery-gray patina overall with a light overlay of pale green around the devices. Accompanied by a color ANACS certificate for authenticity, grade, and variety. Listed on page 33 of the 2001 Guide Book.
