Scarce XF 1783 Washington Draped Bust, Button Cent
1783 1C Washington & Independence Cent, Draped Bust, Button XF40 PCGS. Baker-5, R.5. This walnut-brown representative is moderately marked and has a small area of roughness (possibly as made) beneath the GT in WASHINGTON. A later die state, a die crack wanders through the 1 in the date, another die crack ventures from 2:30 to the bust, and the obverse exhibits mint-made clashmarks at 11 o'clock. Listed on page 76 of the 2006 Guide Book.
