Uncirculated 1783 Large Military Bust Cent1783 1C Washington & Independence Cent, Large Military Bust MS61 Brown PCGS. Baker-4, R.1. Although Baker-4 is not a rarity, Uncirculated pieces are surprisingly difficult to find. A well struck and unmarked example of the late state of Vlack obverse 4. A die crack curves through the base of most of the obverse legend, heaviest beneath the second NDE in INDEPENDENCE, other die cracks are left of the 3 in the date and from the jaw through the 7 in the date. A hint of ebony verdigris and a pair of faint spots on the left reverse field are of little relevance. Listed on page 75 of the 2006 Guide Book.
