Description:
1783 COPPER Nova Constellatio Copper, Pointed Rays, Large US Fine 15 PCGS. Crosby 1-A. Breen-1106. Dark brown overall with a bit of corrosion around ELL of CONSTELLATIO. The reverse has a small planchet defect at the E of LIBERTAS. The obverse (or whatever you choose to call the side with NOVA CONSTELLATIO) is boldly struck, while the reverse (or US side) is weakly defined, the coin apparently having been struck on a slightly dished planchet. Listed on page 34 of the 2002 Guide Book. (PCGS# 804)
