Description:
1785 COPPER Nova Constellatio Copper, Blunt Rays XF40 Corroded Uncertified. Crosby 1-B, R.3. The only 1785-dated blunt rays variety, which is also interesting for the misspelled legend CONSTELATIO and a significant die break (as made) on the wreath above the date. A dark but boldly defined piece with a few small planchet flaws and only moderately granular surfaces. Free from scratches or rim problems. Listed on page 34 of the 2003 Guide Book.
