Description:
Pleasing 1787 Nova Eborac Copper
1787 COPPER Nova Eborac Copper, Seated Right VF25 PCGS. Breen-987. Lovely light tan surfaces, although with considerable weakness from die erosion. This example clearly shows a die break near the seated figures foot, as mentioned by Breen in his Complete Encyclopedia. These pieces are related to the famous Brasher doubloons via the use of the same punches for certain letters or design elements. Listed on page 65 of the 2006 Guide Book.
