Description

Double-Struck M. 4.1-K 1788 Connecticut
VF25, Scarce Mailed Bust Right Variety

1788 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Mailed Bust Right--Double Struck--VF25 NGC. M. 4.1-K, W-4430, R.5. The obverse is attributable by the outline on both fillets, and the tip of the wreath is about even with the highest point of the star to the right. However, because of the double striking these diagnostics are not visible on the obverse, so the coin must be attributed by the reverse. The medium brown surfaces are only interrupted by a spot on the reverse rim between 2 and 3 o'clock. Listed on page 60 of the 2011 Guide Book. MRB VF25.
Ex: James Kelly (2/8/1954).

What a great experience. It was a lot of fun watching it all on Saturday. We are so excited about how it turned out. So very happy.
