Description:
Glossy MS66 1794 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent--NEW YORK
1794 1C Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent, NEW YORK MS66 Brown PCGS. Breen-1032. These trade tokens were of great importance to the young American republic as they were extensively used in the channels of commerce in the 1790s, and many were cut down and used as planchets for half cents in 1795. Very rarely is a TAL encountered with this degree of preservation. The surfaces are glossy with brown centers and a significant presence of original red still in evidence around the margins. Listed on page 62 of the 2005 Guide Book.(#634) (PCGS# 634)
