Description:
1795 1/2P Washington Grate Halfpenny, Large Buttons, Reeded Edge MS61 Brown NGC. Baker-29A or -29AA, W-10955, R.1. The edge is concealed by the holder, which precludes specific attribution. Deep olive-brown toning shrouds moderately prooflike surfaces. A boldly struck and unabraded halfpenny with faint curved planchet marks on the reverse, as made and often seen on this issue. Listed on page 79 of the 2011 Guide Book. Census: 8 in 61 Brown, 26 finer (6/10). (PCGS# 746)
