Description:
1935-S 50C San Diego MS67 NGC. CAC. Collectors may not realize that 20 years later, sculptor Robert I. Aitken revisited his Minerva design for the round and octagonal 1915-S Panama-Pacific fifty dollar gold commemoratives, in the form of the San Diego half dollars, more correctly called the California-Pacific International Exposition halves. This gleaming, untoned Superb Gem more than merits the Star for extra eye appeal. Census: 18 in 67 , 2 in 67+, 1 in 67+, 7 finer (5/13).(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 28LK, PCGS# 9371)
