Description:
Very Good JR-6 1796 Dime
Relatively Unmarked for the Grade
1796 10C VG8 NGC. JR-6, R.3. This commonly seen variety is easily identified by the horizontal date-die break through 17, with no letters touching in LIBERTY; on the reverse no outer berry shows between D in UNITED and the first S in STATES. This dove-gray Very Good example displays little obvious contact for the grade, save for a wispy thin scrape through Liberty's ear area. The reverse shows the die crack from between ST to the wing and neck, but not progressing to the right side. Attractive for the grade and type.(Registry values: P7) (NGC ID# 236B, PCGS# 4461)
