1800 10C AU58 PCGS....
Borderline Uncirculated JR-1 1800 Dime1800 10C AU58 PCGS. JR-1, R.4. The 1800 is a much better Heraldic Eagle date with only two die marriages, both of which are very scarce to rare. JR-1 usually has a slender cud that joins the left (facing) wingtip to the rim, which distinguishes it from JR-2. An example with considerable mint luster is a prize, since a majority of dimes from this era are well circulated. The present coin is also intricately struck, without any softness on the stars above the eagle. Liberty's cheek and shoulder display light wear, and the only remotely mentionable mark is a brief thin line above the branch stem. Moderately toned in gunmetal-gray shades that deepen slightly across the borders. Population: 5 in 58, 6 finer (12/08).(Registry values: P6) (NGC ID# 236H, PCGS# 4470)
