1802 Ten Cent, JR-4, AU55
Light Marginal Toning
1802 10C AU55 PCGS. JR-4, R.4. LIBERTY is evenly spaced; no letters touch. The tip of Liberty's upper leftmost curl is under the curves of B. The lower beak pierces the upper-right points of star 12. Bases of ME in AMERICA touch.
This beautiful dime has bright silver surfaces with luster in the recessed areas and hints of gold toning along the borders. The central obverse and reverse of this nicely centered piece are weakly defined, as nearly always for the issue, and faint surface marks are consistent with the grade. An outstanding opportunity for the advanced date or variety collector. Population: 4 in 55, 7 finer (11/11).(Registry values: P7) (NGC ID# 236K, PCGS# 4472)
